Product Managers in travel, look this way! Do you have experience as a Product Manager within a travel environment? Have you dealt in depth with products across various travel brands? This leading travel provider is looking to recruit an experienced Product Manager to join this great team in Birmingham. Accountable for the development, contracting and delivery of a given product area, you will help expand my clients' product base and help this successful independent travel company go from strength to strength.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role of Product Manager is to secure the best commercial terms and ensure we are commercially best placed in the market through effective sourcing and administration of our destination, hotel and auxiliary requirements.

Maintaining consistent relationships with suppliers and Tourist Boards.

Monitor competitor activity and pricing against our own.

Monitor sales for preferred and key partners to drive deals.

Negotiate and monitor commercial agreements with preferred partners.

Negotiate exclusive offer deals and incentives and marketing deals with suppliers.

Investigate the sourcing of alternative suppliers and direct contracts and new products.

Provide the sales team with information and booking process on new suppliers and liaise with Training department to ensure training is arranged if required.

Provide all holiday and hotel offers for marketing and liaise with Marketing/Aviation Departments.

Follow up with suppliers on day to day supplier related issues and complaints.

Commercial reporting for month end and YTD sales by product, and by customer type.

Monitor websites and e-shots for accuracy and relevance.

Oversee loading/management of direct contracts into the system and ensure that stop sales are kept up to date.

Errata management

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The successful candidate will be suitably experienced and have thorough knowledge of product and industry awareness; must have strong negotiation, pricing and inter-personal skills, and must be self motivated and be able to work under pressure.

THE PACKAGE:

My client will pay up to 40k according to experience and offers additional company benefits.
