Are you an experienced Luxury Beach Travel Specialist? My Client, a successful luxury Gloucestershire based tour operator, who specialise in tailor-made itineraries to some of the world's most luxurious resorts, they are seeking a proven Luxury Travel Consultant to booking worldwide beach holidays, using the finest hotels and properties available. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To expediently, professionally and politely answer all telephone calls, including those overflowing from other teams.
  • At the earliest opportunity, to call clients who have requested a brochure with a view to nurturing this initial enquiry into an active sales lead
  • Ensure that itinerary proposals, with quote, are produced and delivered to the client within 24hrs - if this is not possible, then the client must be kept up to date with progress.
  • Use your own previous experience and destination knowledge to establish the client's needs and requirements to best advise them when tailor making their chosen itineraries.
  • Take responsibility for all flight reservations via GDS (Galileo), creating and maintaining PNRs. Use knowledge of fares to ensure that the correct fare is filed and that ticketing deadlines are observed. Ensure that any amendments or cancellations are communicated in order to maintain accurate and up-to-date files and minimise financial loss.
  • Responding to e-mail enquiries from customers.
  • Ensuring that the correct documentation e.g. an invoice is sent to the customer and payment is collected.
  • General administration.
  • Where possible upselling to add value and profit to your booking and enhancing your clients holiday experience
  • Attend supplier presentations and functions when required to maintain up to date product knowledge.
  • Identify errors and discrepancies in supplier reconfirmation to ensure that all information sent and/or advised to clients is correct.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Previous reservations experience within a luxury tour operator.
  • Pleasant & professional telephone manner.
  • Effective Sales skills.
  • Wealth of knowledge of the Caribbean, Indian Ocean or Luxury European beach destinations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Good command of the English language both written and verbal
  • Ability to speak to the full range of clients including demanding VIPs and their PAs
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Tailormade luxury villa product knowledge

THE PACKAGE

The successful candidate will receive a competitive basic salary of £23,000 with a fantastic commission structure plus amazing company benefits!

HOURS:

Monday - Friday; 9am - 5.30pm or 9.30am - 6pm plus on average 8 Saturdays per year which will be paid in addition to your basic salary.
