Are you experienced and knowledgeable in all thing Travel Technology? Strong knowledge of Galileo or Amadeus GDS? We have the role for you!
We are working with an independent TMC (with offices in Central London and Kent), who are looking for an experienced Travel Technology Specialist to join their growing team.
You will be working as key member of our Travel Technology Team - The role covers the key travel technologies, providing front end user support and managing backend configuration.
You will be responsible for implementation of technologies whilst working alongside senior members of the team to achieve this, and with a proven track record in training, you will ensure the users expertise and confidence grows by setting a standard and maximising our commercial advantage through ensuring efficient and confident use of the technologies this company provide.
Your relationship to the suppliers and your ability to articulate problems and suggest improvements whilst setting expectations with the suppliers of technology is key to the role.
You will review existing user confidence, make training plans, maintain documentation and training guides, look for opportunities to improve the processes and work with management and senior members of the team to deliver this.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and product support to operational teams
- Training internal staff to meet a set standard
- Test technology is meeting business requirements and function as expected
- Maintain detailed project plans and work to deadlines
- Maintain training guides
- Train clients, using documentation and training guides through screen sharing webinars in MS Teams
- Work within the client implementation team and be accountable to deadlines
- UAT testing of online booking tools
- Maintain and update configuration to client online booking
- Maintain change logs and documentation
- Testing of market-related enhancements and configuration updates prior to launch
- Maintaining industry and product knowledge and keep up to date with market trends
- Work with our technology suppliers to maximise the return
Skills & Experience:
- Industry experience with travel technology background
- IT literate - excellent Excel / Word / Teams / PC skills
- Strong Galileo or Amadeus GDS Experience
- Previous experience of working with online booking tools
- Travel industry knowledge of fares and ticketing
- Proven track record in working in a support environment
- Knowledge of Atriss, Concur, Umbrella, Dophin (highly desirable)
- Experience liaising with 3rd party technology providers
The Package:
- Salary - £35,000 - £40,000
