We are assisting an independent Corporate Travel company (with offices in London and Kent) who are looking for a Travel Technology Specialist to join their Technology team!

The role covers the key travel technologies providing front end user support and managing backend configuration. You will be responsible for implementation of technologies whilst working alongside senior members of the team to achieve this.

The Job:

  • Provide technical and product support to operational teams
  • Training internal staff to meet a set standard
  • Test technology is meeting business requirements and function as expected
  • Maintain detailed project plans and work to deadlines
  • Managing change process and impact, change logs, documentation and knowledge base
  • To ensure our business takes advantage of the full capability of our systems
  • Work within the client implementation team and be accountable to deadlines UAT testing of online booking tools
  • Maintain and update configuration to client online booking
  • Maintain change logs and documentation
  • Maintain training guide
  • Testing of market-related enhancements and configuration updates prior to launch
  • Maintaining industry and product knowledge and keep up to date with market trends
  • Work with our technology suppliers to maximise the return

The Person:

  • Industry experience with travel technology background
  • IT literate - excellent Excel / Word / Teams / PC skills
  • Strong Galileo or Amadeus GDS Experience
  • Previous experience of working with online booking tools
  • Travel industry knowledge of fares and ticketing
  • Proven track record in working in a support environment
  • Excellent customer service skills & customer experience
  • Ability to gather information and demonstrate a methodical approach to trouble shooting
  • Take control of a user support issue, good ability to trouble shoot give the end user confidence
  • A natural and methodical approach and is able to identify solutions and work arounds to ensure business continuity
  • Ability to question/challenge processes in a professional way

The Package:

  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
  • Hybrid working - 4 days in the office (London / Kent)
