Travel Trade Recruitment are excited to be working with a well-established client, on an excellent opportunity for an experienced African Travel Specialist. We are looking for candidates that have sold and extensively travelled to Africa, to work from home and specialise in bespoke African travel itineraries! Our client is an established independent tour operator, creating a variety of African holidays to sell via the trade, primarily. This home-working African Travel Specialist role offers fantastic working hours, a competitive basic salary which is dependent on experience, and an attractive bonus scheme!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Creating bespoke tailor-made packages to Southern/East Africa, using GDS
• Dealing with agent enquiries by telephone/e-mail
• Achieving personal and company-wide targets
• Offering exceptional customer service
• Working from home with occasional travel to the North-West England and to Africa
• Mon-Fri 0900-1730, rota for Saturdays (0930-1330 only)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

We are seeking experienced Tour Operators or Travel Consultants with a passion for Africa and extensive personal and industry related experience of African destinations, especially of East & Southern Africa. You will be GDS trained and able to tailor-make itineraries. You will be able to work under your own initiative from home, but remotely as part of a team.

THE PACKAGE:

Salary is dependent on experience, and you will be fully set up from home (broadband, phone, laptop). There is an attractive bonus scheme, holiday allowance that rises with service, and trips to Africa, as well as team social meetings where the home workers can get together with the office staff!

Salary: Competitive and DOE

Hours: Mon-Fri 09.00 - 17.30. Sats on a rota 09.30 - 13.30
