Medical Technology company working with the medical and pharmaceutical industry is seeking an experienced Travel Coordinator and it comes with a highly competitive salary of £35k pa - £40k pa. This role is to liaise with their Travel Management Company to organise employee travel and also organise conferences and events. Salary is dependent on experience £35k pa to £40k pa and it comes with the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis (offices in Abingdon). JOB DESCRIPTION:

In partnership with the Travel Management Company (TMC) you will be required to research, obtain approval for and arrange UK & international travel, transport and accommodation. You will also be required to support the group with organising any internal/external business and social events including researching venue options, organising catering and any associated travel requirements for attendees.

  • Handling and overseeing the end to end travel and event arrangements
  • Working closely with the group on travel and event requirements
  • Managing positive relationships with the Travel Management Company other key partners
  • Owning and managing adherence to our Travel & Expenses, policies and internal processes
  • Managing and processing all travel-related documentation, including payments, itineraries, visas, medical, and legal forms.
  • Working with the Finance team to ensure all payments and invoices are dealt with correctly and in a timely manner
  • Supporting the People team with any Carbon Offsetting reporting queries
  • Be seen as the subject matter expert who can advise all travellers on all elements of their trip including any need for specialized travel documents such as visas or passports. Ownership of our internal travel & expenses policy
  • Assisting with any travel related issues that may arise within normal working hours

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

We will ideally have previous experience if Travel Coordinating in-house, in a similar role. However if you have a background in corporate travel, with exposure to events and maybe keen to do stay in travel but do something a bit different by working on the clients side in business travel.

THE PACKAGE:

This is an initial maternity cover until the end of 2023 and comes with a competitive salary of £35k pa - £40k pa dependent on experience.
