As the Travel Industry recovers, you'll want to work for a financially secure, well-established, Travel Agency & Tour Operator that is big enough to offer a career and small enough to care and treat it's employees individually. We are recruiting a Tour Operations Travel Sales Consultant for this established family run Travel Company, with a strong presence in the East of England. You will be tailor-making worldwide travel itineraries for direct customers and travel agents. Offering a competitive basic from £18.5k pa dependent on experience plus realistic OTE of £22k pa (uncapped!) This role can be based in Cambourne or Norwich and offers hybrid working too.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Booking a wide range of UK, European, Worldwide Holidays

- As this is working within a Tour Operator you will sell to both travel agents and direct customers

- Start off specialising in specific destinations expanding the portfolio of areas expanding over time as more experience is gained.

- Dealing with emails and incoming calls from travel agents and direct clients throughout the day

- Put together tailor made holiday packages over the telephone whilst working to sales targets linked to excellent commission and bonus schemes.

- Have a personable approach that keeps the local clientele coming back to you for repeat bookings

- Working within an team and to monthly targets to earn commission

- Working on a 5 day rota between Monday - Saturday: 9am - 5:30pm (Closed Sunday's and Bank Holidays)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

You will have previous experience of working in a travel sales role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a busy team, is organized, conscientious, enjoys helping others and is able to deliver excellent customer service.

THE PACKAGE:

The starting salary is from £18.5k, dependent on experience and opportunity to earn commission. Average OTE is £22k pa, but it is uncapped, with a top earner hitting £30k pa. In addition they offer a staff travel rates, family & friends holiday discounts, overseas educationals, Pension scheme and social events; this is a friendly working environment! With such a big presence in the area, there are great long term career options. Whilst this is ideally full time, candidates seeking 3 days a week will also be considered.
