Lovely established independent Travel Agency based on the outskirts of Glasgow (east of the city) are seeking a Travel Agent to join their friendly team. As a Travel Consultant here, you will focus on tailormade long-haul holidays, so this is a bit different from your standard high street Travel Agents. If you have a background in retail travel, are passionate and knowledgeable about worldwide destinations. Mon-Sat 0900-1700 (5 days on a rota), no Sundays and more benefits detailed below! Starting salary is dependent on experience, but up to £24k pa and there are additional discounts and bonus!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To make sure that no matter whether the customer's journey begins in store, on live chat or by email, that they get an exceptional service through the whole of the booking process through to travel
Taking enquiries you will create tailor-made itineraries to fulfil your clients aspirations, making suggestions to enhance the booking and their holiday experience
You will use your good all round destination knowledge as there is an emphasis on long-haul, rather than European packages as it is within some travel agencies, but you will sell a bit of everything!
You will be able to sell different Tour Operators, making this a varied role that allows choice for your clients (and for you when creating their dream!)
You will use your personality and sales skills to ensure that you get the bookings over the line, and strive for repeat business
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm (5 day rota) Sunday - Closed
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

We are seeking you, if you have previous experience as a Travel Advisor, within a retail travel environment, whether it be historically and you are keen to get back into travel, or currently and you're keen for a change!

THE PACKAGE:

Salary is dependent on experience but is competitive within the retail travel industry and in the region of £21k pa - £24k pa, plus bonus. They have excellent staff rates, regular team get togethers and nights out, No Christmas or New Year Working. The branch is within easy accessof the M73/M74 junction.
