A hugely experienced management team, with many years in the Travel Industry, have partnered with a supermarket chain to launch a modern travel agency. Based within the stores, it will combine the services of a traditional travel agency, with state of the art technology to appeal to a wide audience! So customers who want to engage and chat with a Travel Consultant can, and those short on time can have a more virtual service! With 28 shops planned in the first few years, starting in Birmingham and growing nation-wide, this is an amazing career opportunity at a point where Travel Agencies are seeing huge demand. Excellent starting salary circa £24k pa - £25k (negotiable), plus commission, incentives and profit share.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Being involved in the running of the first branch of a new-start up Travel Agency
* A real opportunity to run it like your own business and be very much involved in the growth of the company
* Working with a Manager and a team of three Consultants, being hands on both managing and selling
* Advise, assist and performance manage your team to achieve sales & service targets
* Work pro-actively; you and your team will need to engage with the footfall from the supermarket
* Utilise the latest technology, to gain people's interest who are short on time, so they can leave their details and can be followed up with
* Booking UK, European and Worldwide holidays using a range of Tour Operators
* Converting enquiries to bookings, working to targets and commission.
* Working a rota 5 days over 7 days, with flexibility to working some evening shifts too
* Assist with any other company duties, such as local marketing events, administration and resolving any escalated customer service issues

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
We are seeking someone who has managed a high street retail travel agency previously, is passionate about travel and ambitious about their career. You will have exceptional customer service, solid people and performance management and a drive to succeed.

THE PACKAGE:
Starting salary is negotiable, but in the region of £24k - £25k pa. Whilst basic is important, this will come with excellent earnings potential with a competitive commission scheme, annual profit share, tour operator incentives, at least one FAM trip a year, heavily discounted personal travel.
