My client is a leading specialist tour operator who is looking to recruit a Transport Manager to work with the procurement team sourcing transport and building relationships with external suppliers and our internal teams. This exciting role with hybrid working, great hours and a very competitive salary, within an excellent company is not one to be missed!

THE JOB:

To line manage & support the Transport Procurement Team to source, price and book transport in line with budget and group trip requirements

Liaise as necessary with transport operators to maintain an updated view on transport availability across the seasons

Support Procurement Manager with commercial negotiations with transport suppliers

Manage workflow to ensure all relevant information regarding relevant tours is sent in a timely manner to transport operators according to relevant deadlines

Ensure invoices are checked and processed in a timely manner & costs are accurately maintained within the company MI system

Review transport quality & customer feedback and address with transport operators regarding service standards, when necessary.

Support the Transport team to investigate and resolve any queries relating to trips

Establish and maintain a good working relationship with transport operators

Responsibility for managing & developing a team of Transport Procurement Co-ordinators

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Experience of managing & developing staff

Knowledge & experience of booking transport elements for Group tours

An understanding of coach drivers' hours

Awareness & understanding of flight reservations

Attention to detail

Exceptional organizational & planning skills

Ability to work to tight deadlines

Ability to build & maintain relationships with suppliers

WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?

A fantastic Basic Salary of £27,000.00 - £32,000.00 dependent on experience plus monthly and annual bonus, great working hours of Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm with Flexible hours. Hybrid working. 25 days holiday, rising to 30 with service.
