Trade Sales Manager

Location: Edinburgh/Hybrid
Salary: Competitive and Negotiable, depending on experience

My client is an award-winning Destination Management Company (DMC) specialising in luxury individual travel, leisure groups, and incentives across Ireland and the UK and delivering unforgettable experiences and creative, bespoke travel programs.

They are seeking an experienced Trade Sales Manager to join their Edinburgh-based team (hybrid working). You'll play a key role in developing their luxury leisure and FIT business across North America, Australia, and New Zealand, strengthening relationships with leading travel consortia and agency partners.

Key Responsibilities as a Trade Sales Manager

  • Develop and implement annual sales and marketing strategies with the Director of Leisure Sales & Marketing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with luxury travel networks, tour operators, and tourist boards.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in the luxury leisure and FIT sectors in North America, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Represent the client at key trade shows and sales events internationally.
  • Conduct up to six North American sales trips annually, with additional travel to Australia, New Zealand, and within the UK & Ireland.
  • Organise client events, educational trips, and marketing activities to drive engagement.
  • Manage the CRM system to enhance targeting, communication, and segmentation.
  • Continuously update knowledge of luxury tourism offerings in Ireland and the UK.

What They're Looking For

  • Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Tourism or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in sales roles within the luxury travel market (DMC, tour operator, or agency).
  • Excellent knowledge of Ireland and the UK as luxury destinations.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and presentation skills.
  • Track record in delivering multi-year sales strategies and meeting growth KPIs.
  • Fluent English, valid driver's licence, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to six trips per year).
