Do you have experience or a keen interested in all things sustainability? Do you have background in Marketing or Travel? We have the role for you!
We are working with a well known Travel Association company, who are looking for a Sustainability Advisor to join their small team - supporting the implementation of their sustainability objectives, promoting this with members, destinations, stakeholder and consumers.
The role:
- Support the smooth running and development of the Sustainability Committee and relevant working groups including drafting agendas, writing minutes, circulating papers, and coordinating speakers.
- Proactively support members on sustainable tourism through the companies Sustainability tools and resources, being the first point of call for routine enquiries and escalating to the Head of Sustainability as appropriate.
- Record and manage member engagement as appropriate in internal systems such as CRM and report to SLT.
- Support the development of sustainability tools and resources, leading workstreams as appropriate.
- Support the Head of Sustainability on liaising with communications and PR departments on sustainability messaging, including liaising with the communications team in terms of sharing sustainability messages on social media.
- Day-to-day support on project management of the companies sustainability projects and initiatives, such as developing case studies with members and their internal sustainability programme.
- To record member engagement and track progress against project objectives and produce internal and external project status reports, including for SLT where appropriate.
- Contribute to, and, where appropriate, support the management relationships with key external stakeholders around sustainability objectives.
- Attending internal and external meetings as required and producing minutes, action notes, meeting agendas and supporting documentation.
- Participate in external UK meetings and conferences as and when required by the business.
- Undertake any other task that may reasonably be required to fulfil the primary purpose of the role.
- To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within the staff member's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
The Person:
- Working or academic knowledge of sustainability
- Understanding of the travel industry and business models of our members, and how that relates to sustainability.
- Ideally project management support and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
- Ability to work on own initiative and handle sensitive information and diplomacy
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Committed to service excellence.
The package:
- A salary of £35,000 - £40,000
- Hybrid working (London Bridge location, 2 days a week)
