If you have a passion for Sports and Travel, then this the job for you. If you love Sports and Travel, we are looking for the ideal candidate to fill the role of Tour Coordinator in our office . Liaising with schools, universities, and sports clubs, you'll be working closely with one of the most experienced people in the business. You will be responsible for organising and delivering our tailor-made tours that travel throughout the world. Our most popular destinations include Southern Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, South Africa, and Australasia, not to mention our very busy and successful inbound business.
Job Description:
- Taking full ownership of the tour's delivery and outcomes: managing customer's needs from the moment a new tour is agreed, through to the post-tour follow-up.
- Planning detailed and complex itineraries for multi-centre short and long-haul tours.
- Using our existing contacts or sourcing new accommodation, excursions, and other tour elements.
- Building close working relationships with suppliers and customers
- Coordinating sporting fixtures to the relevant team standards/level of play.
- Working closely with the Tour Manager and keeping lines of communication open.
- The freedom to negotiate rates with suppliers & ground services.
- Attending interim meetings over the pre-tour period to develop the relationship with the tour organisers.
- Working with overseas suppliers and internal staff to ensure that all Health & Safety Audit requirements are complete and accurate.
- Financial responsibility for checking and authorising tour payments to suppliers.
- Overseas travel could well be required, attending familiarisation trips, and making sure we are up to date with our product knowledge.
- Working closely with the sales team.
- Opportunity to assist the supporters' side of the business and attend major sporting events in a professional capacity.
Skills Required:
- Someone with an interest in sport and travel.
- Passionate about creating lifeline memories and go the extra mile without being asked.
- Experienced with airline reservation systems or some level of working with airlines and their peculiarities is useful.
- Experienced in group travel (not essential).
- Competent with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Canva.
- Willing and able to learn new systems and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work under their own initiative and multitask effectively.
- Organised and strong in administrative and numeracy skills.
- Enthusiastic about problem-solving.
- Someone who can thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
The Package:
- Starting salary £20,000 - £28,000
- Opportunity to travel on tours
