My client one of Europe's Sports Tours Operators are seeking a full time International Operations Manager to join their dynamic & experienced team in Manchester. Job Overview:
As International Operations Manager you will be responsible for the effective planning and delivery of the company's extensive range of Sports Travel Packages, whilst ensuring excellent levels of customer satisfaction are achieved at all times. In this fast paced and exciting role, you will work with the International Operations Team and support the overseas staff also.
Job Description:
* Booking staff travel, hotels and arrange shipping of equipment
* Help manage vehicle logistics
* Liaising with and contracting hotels and various other suppliers
* Producing operational event plans
* Assist with management and movement of event related equipment
* Booking overseas transport
* Dealing with customer queries
* General office work such as scanning, copying and posting items
* Dealing with customer cycling, running and triathlon related queries and management of customer service inbox.
* Chasing by email and/or phone of outstanding balance payments
* Collecting event related client's data - flight details, bike hire sizes, entry related data, dietary requirements etc.
* Interpreting and identifying potential problems relating to customer information and proactively solving these
* Sending customer feedback questionnaires and collating results
* Liaising with key contacts at UK charities on bespoke events
* Collecting health and safety documentation ahead of an event
* Assisting with creating customer itineraries
Experience required:
* The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an overseas tour operator, airline or logistics environment.
* An interest in Sport ideally cycling and running is desirable, but experience in working in other sports is also a bonus.
* As part of this role International travel may be required so a valid passport is essential.
* You will also be personable and outgoing with the ability to communicate effectively, across all levels of the business.
* You will have a good understanding of Package Travel Regulations, and a good knowledge or passion for international sporting events.
* Experience of using Outlook, Excel and Word is essential.
* Experience of working on the GDS Amadeus and a second language of French/Italian would be advantageous.
