This leading corporate travel company is looking to recruit an experienced MICE Consultant to join the successful team in their Birmingham offices.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Dealing with phone calls, emails and online booking requests/queries from existing and potential clients;
• Process conference and groups enquiries/proposals/bookings via ABC Connections RfM system;
• Providing clients with suitable options and suggestions of the best way to meet their event or group MICE requirements;
• Arranging all types of conferences, events, groups, incentives and meetings with up to 1000 delegates.
• Proactively maintaining relationships with clients at all times;;
• Helping with any problems clients may have and provide the appropriate customer service throughout the entire process;
• Processing responses to clients within the companies agreed service level agreements;
• To actively get involved in the process operated by the company and make suggestions on possible improvements;
• To be part of the team and actively help and assist colleagues as needed;
• To be aware of and act in accordance with all Company Quality Standard and Procedures.

EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:

• Previous experience of working in a venue sourcing / meetings & events team
• A good knowledge of UK venue and event location;
• A good communicator, well organised and used to working to tight deadlines and under pressure;
• A friendly and professional telephone manner; Confident in negotiating rates with suppliers on the telephone;

Nice to haves:

• Experience working with a MICE booking tool such as Venue Directory's Gratis;
• UK knowledge of venue and event locations.
