Are you an experienced Travel Reservations Manager, Retail Travel Manager or Sales Manager? My client, an independent tour operator are seeking a dynamic, inspirational manager with solid experience of managing a successful travel sales team and a passion for luxury travel. It is essential the successful candidate has experience of managing a team within the travel industry, along with a proven and consistent track record of excellent sales and customer service. This role will be based at my clients' modern offices in the Altrincham area.
DUTIES:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales team, you must have the ability to inspire, motivate, engage, and develop a team. A positive and results-driven individual, you will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a high workload. You will be a clear and confident communicator who is resilient to pressure and have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Deliver revenue and profit targets
* Support and develop each of your team to achieve their monthly/annual profit target
* Daily management of all sales leads, ensuring all are serviced to the highest standards
* Daily review of performance and leads
* Ensure your team are delivering the highest standards of service consistently
* Rota management, ensuring sufficient resources at all times
* Deliver "on the job" sales coaching
* Monthly 1:1's to discuss individuals' development, training needs and performance
* Create a fun working environment, encouraging teamwork
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* Previous experience of selling within the travel industry with a proven track record of consistent sales and high customer service feedback.
* Experience of working in a team leader/management role in the travel industry.
* A positive, energetic and outgoing person who is comfortable managing others in an inspirational and encouraging way.
* Motivated by achieving results through their team and feel at ease negotiating with suppliers.
* Proven skills in customer service and complaint handling is essential.
* Natural organiser, ability to multi task and high attention to detail.
