This leading Independent retail travel company is currently seeking a passionate, sales driven individual to join their branch in Wymondham and train to be a an experienced travel consultant. You can expect to be dealing with dynamic packaging/tailor-made holidays, along with package holidays. This is such an exciting opportunity not to be missed!!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Working in a branch, with a small team of travel consultants
• Greeting customers face to face and over the phone
• Quoting on a wide variety of worldwide travel itineraries
• Selling both package and dynamically packaged holidays
• Offering your customer a choice of tour operator, to sell the right holiday for their needs
• Selling additional products and services, such as car hire and travel insurance.
• Working to sales targets to earn commission whilst offering excellent customer service

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Experience working as a travel agent in a previous role or another travel company
• Experience in a sales environment - e.g. estate agent
• A passion for travel and the travel industry
• Enjoy working to sales and profit targets
• Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively with clients face to face and over the telephone
• Have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and be comfortable with multi-tasking
• Be able to remain calm when dealing with any problems or complaints
• Like working under your own initiative and as part of a team
• Personal travel experience is an advantage

THE PACKAGE:

Salary is dependent on experience

We are looking for someone who can work at least three days a week, but up to 5 days per week, you'll need to be able to work retail hours Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm, we'll also need someone who is flexible to work on a Sundays on a rota if required.

You'll be guaranteed at least one full weekend off per month.
