A Specialist Travel Tour company based in Kent are looking for a Contract Executive to work for their successful, diverse, fast growing tours team.
Are you an Outgoing ' go- getting individual who wants to develop and progress? Do you have Contracting/Product experience within the Travel Industry and looking to get away from the London commute?
Product Development
*Analyse market trends (both own product and industry) and propose new tours
*Create new itineraries (tours) for presentation at appropriate meetings
*Take advantage of new routes/flight opportunities
Yield Management
*Review sales and take appropriate action in terms of renegotiation of rates, increase late availability rooms and contracting forward departure dates
Commercial and Contracting
*Maintain and react to competitor analysis on all product
*Negotiation of rates/dates/terms for assigned areas within given parameters.
*Renegotiation of existing contracts
*Maintaining excellent supplier relationships and promoting the brand positively
*Ensure all assigned areas have a valid contract in place
*Dealing with invoice queries
Costing and Pricing
*All costs/dates for assigned areas loaded
*Pricing of itineraries in accordance with company margin requirements
Product Management
*Res training on new and existing tours to ensure high quality of knowledge on detail is given
*Ensure that all information regarding assigned areas is communicated promptly internally
*Brochure proofing
*Assisting with Post-Trip Reviews and complaints
*Management of Tour Dossiers
Operational
*Assist in any operational situation should the need arise, to support the relevant Manager
General
*To complete any task in addition to the above that may be needed by; The Chairman, CEO, Managing Director or Head of Tours
Essential Skills
*Previous product or commercial experience in a tour operator role essential
*Strong team and work ethic, providing assistance when colleagues absent
*Good communication skills
*Numerate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
*Excellent understanding and application of English language both oral and written
*Excellent attention to detail
*Strong interpersonal skills and an outgoing, approachable personality
*Ability to work in a busy and pressured environment
*Willingness to travel internationally for work
THE PACKAGE:
The salary package on offer for this position of Contract Executive includes a basic salary of £24,000 (plus bonus).
