We are excited to be recruiting a PR and Social Media Executive/Manager to join our marketing team, a position which offers excellent prospects within an award-winning tour operator. It is a permanent, full-time role reporting to the Head of PR and Social Media. This is a hybrid role and is a pivotal part of our PR and social media function, sitting within the wider marketing team.

The Job:

  • Writing press releases and pitches
  • Responding to media enquiries
  • Organising group and individual press trips
  • Acting as a point of contact for our external PR agency
  • Attending meetings with journalists, influencers and PR contacts
  • Planning and executing media events
  • Deputising for the Head of PR & Social Media on occasion to represent the PR function at internal and external meetings
  • Attending content, marketing and other internal meetings to ascertain PR stories and social media opportunities
  • Monitoring news sources for story ideas and angles
  • Day-to-day management of all social media channels
  • Managing the schedule for all social media channels
  • Supporting wider PR and marketing activity via social media
  • Identifying influencers to work with on press trips and other collaborations
  • Regularly engaging with those we follow
  • Auditing follows and followers
  • Monitoring press coverage and social media engagement
  • Collating a monthly PR and social media report and analysing coverage and successes
  • Collating ad hoc reports and presentations for internal comms

Skills Required:

  • 2+ years of PR experience in-house or at a PR agency, ideally in travel or luxury
  • A digital native and social media-savvy with a sound knowledge of Instagram, LinkedIn and scheduling tools, such as Later
  • Tech-savvy, with a sound knowledge of Canva and Photoshop
  • Positive, can-do attitude; someone who is a self-starter and able to take initiative
  • Strong writing skills
  • Creative and ideas-driven
  • Good organisational skills and adept at reporting and day-to-day admin tasks
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Passion for travel

The Package:

  • Salary £32,000
  • 23 days annual leave, increasing one day per full year of service up to 30 days
