Do you have experience in negotiating the best rates for hotels and suppliers, for travel groups within an inbound DMC/Tour Operator?
- To work with the Contracts Managers and liaise with the Operations Department
- To build and maintain a great working relationship with our hotels and service suppliers
- Sourcing space at hotels with the best rates/within budgets for ad hoc groups and tour series, as well as contracting and allocating coach suppliers for our groups.
- To assume responsibility for placing groups and confirming details and spaces with the operations department, at the budgets and locations required, with ideal terms and conditions, using our operational software for updating space and rates.
- To keep your product knowledge updated via research, site visits and placing trips.
- Take responsibility to update hotels with current running number and release unused rooms.
- Keeping track of cancellation deadlines, fulfilment of allocations and nesting space contracted, evaluating risks together with the contracts managers on overbookings.
- To insert all seasonal space in the operations system with great attention to detail, following all procedures and process accordingly to minimise errors.
- Working through cancellation reports based on deadlines by contracts signed.
