My client is a leading specialist tour operator who is looking to recruit an Itinerary Co-ordinator to organise group travel on a variety of specialist tours, this exciting role with hybrid working, great hours and a very competitive salary, within an excellent company is not one to be missed!
My client is looking for someone who has experience of working within the travel industry and can speak French, Spanish, Italian or German or has experience of organising ski, groups or sports trips and is passionate about travel and customer service.
THE JOB:
Liaise regularly with the group leader from the booking stage until departure to ensure an inspiring and smoothly run trip.
Calculate timings and make reservations for visits and meals.
Liaise with accommodation centres regarding rooming requirements, meal arrangements and general enquiries.
Work with the accommodation centres and airlines to update on passenger changes, name changes, dietary requirements etc.
Work closely with group leaders to answer any queries in relation to their tours
Potentially assist groups on tour by acting as a 'Tour Rep'.
Visit destinations as part of ongoing training, and to audit and review our suppliers.
Answer the telephone and help with booking enquiries.
Any other tasks that the business requires.
Attend and present at school parents' evenings as required both remotely and in person.
To carry out duties on the out of hours phone whilst groups are on tour (additional pay applicable).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have experience within a sales role in the Travel Industry
Must have a passion for Travel
An ability to speak French, German, Italian and or Spanish whilst not essential, is desirable
You must be commercially astute and have excellent communication skills at all levels
Ability to build and develop relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
Excellent rapport/relationship building skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Must have a high level of written and spoken English.
Proficient in the world of MS Office
WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
A fantastic Basic Salary of £24,000.00 - £28,000.00 dependent on experience plus monthly and annual bonus, great working hours of Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm with Flexible hours. Hybrid working. 25 days holiday, rising to 30 with service. Opportunities to travel overseas.
