Are you an experienced Marketing Director looking to join a progressive fast-growing travel company and be instrumental in its success? This Travel Company has ambitious growth plans and needs a Marketing Director who has solid and proven direct sales experience and can formulate and direct strategy. Ideally you will have experience of working within the Travel Industry or have worked with Lifestyle or luxury brands. This role is based in Bournemouth; the office collaboration is consider super important for the success of the role and You will embrace Agile working.

WHAT THE ROLE ENCOMPASSES:

  • The role will be looking at three core areas;
  • Attracting, recruiting and growing the company's network of Travel Advisors
  • Ensuring these Travel Advisors can grow their sales, reviewing and diversifying the tools they have to achieve this, so they never want to go to a competitor
  • Increasing repeat business of clients booking with them and ensuring year on year increase of Sales with the Travel Advisors
  • This is B2B and B2C sales, building relationships and growing direct sales
  • You will be able to bring a digital and social media perspective to the role
  • The role is very much open to YOU (the successful candidate) directing it but you will be open to working in an agile way and traveling with the job and working from HO in Bournemouth
  • There is no above the line marketing within the company and role, this is relationship based and about messaging and marketing tools
  • In the last year the company doubled in size and amins to do so again
  • You will be leading coaching and directing a multi-disciplined team
  • You'll need to have experience marketing tools, collateral, resources, training and relationships specifically designed to create sales through our Travel Consultants (agents)
  • Digital, video, email & online marketing, content, social media; creating from scratch the tone and the visuals to represent and be the brand; understand the various tools available to help you in your work, and to be able to share these with your team for one way of working.
  • You'll need to demonstrate commitment to developing sales funnels and how to smooth them for a consistent pipeline; you'll know what our partners need before they do, and deliver a proactive, simple, straightforward service they are keen to use and engage with.
  • You'll be working in close collaboration with sales and trade teams to help plan priorities/dedicated campaigns at various points in the year and provide insights to ensure we're at the forefront of changing trends and the very top of our game.
  • You'll be the key point of contact for external agencies including PR and outsourced marketing activities.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrable experience at Director level / Head of
  • Vast marketing experience ideally in the travel industry; if not then in a lifestyle or luxury industry
  • Understanding people, behaviours and messaging that creates actions
  • Be creative, innovative, inspirational and aspirational in your marketing concepts
  • Creating compelling social media campaigns that get talked about
  • Proven experience in developing a marketing strategy for multi channels; to deliver to targets
  • BE able to see and communicate the big picture whilst ensuring the details to get there are delivered consistently to an outstanding level
  • Being able to plan creative campaigns which link video, graphics, social, print and word of mouth
  • Understanding the latest pay per click and social media marketing techniques so that you know if someone else is good, bad or indifferent.
  • Be able to create a killer web site strategy for engagement, SEO and lead generation.
  • Know how to create funnels which generate high ROI and know how to plug holes in existing funnels or processes.
  • Be able to dive into analytics, find quick wins, improvements and be able to share to stakeholders why actions are being taken and where improvements have been made.
  • Be a people person - able to influence and engage; your team, your partners; internal and external
  • Successful leader - renowned for how you interact with others - in a great way
  • Communicate simply, easily, concisely; get your message across and make it clear, understood and actionable
  • Full of market knowledge and insights; to keep ahead of the competition
  • Done it all before; want to do it again, your way; working in an agile fashion to meet the super-fast and often changing needs of the business
