Are you an experienced Travel Consultant with good GDS knowledge (Amadeus, Galileo or Sabre), keen to use your skills and passion for travel, but working from home? Would you like to avoid evening work and keep weekend work to a minimum? And would you like to deal with the trade, speaking to travel agents and providing their quotes? Then our well-established Tour Operator is seeking a Travel Consultant just like you, and in return offers a competitive salary and commission. Sell worldwide holidays, especially long-haul destinations, from the comfort of your home!

THE JOB:

- Taking enquiries over the phone from Travel Agents

- Creating itineraries using GDS Amadeus in accordance with the Travel Agent's needs

- Quoting holidays and converting into bookings to reach targets and earn commission

- Specialising in Long Haul destinations

- Promote and sell additional ancillary sales on all bookings to include car hire, excursions, park passes and car parking.

- Hours are Mon-Fri, 0900-1800 (Working 2 Saturdays a month with a day off in lieu, no Sundays or evenings)

THE PACKAGE

Starting salary is dependent on experience and negotiable but circa £22k pa - £24k pa with an OTE of £28k - £32k pa. Training is office based for two weeks based in the Midlands UK (accommodation/travel covered). There is team/office based working approximately once every 6 weeks for a couple of days, again expenses covered, but this helps you feel part of the team and company. Additional discounts on travel, FAM trips and more are available for the successful candidates.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The successful candidate will be an experienced Travel Consultant with GDS skills. You'll have excellent telephone and rapport building skills, offering great customer service and able to secure the booking with the Travel Advisor. You will have good worldwide destination knowledge, especially long-haul.
