New opportunity for a Group's Operations Executive to join a team in London. This role will be to work within the Operations Team, handling groups from English-speaking countries travelling to the UK and rest of Europe.
The Job:
- Working with clients and handling confirmed groups.
- Researching special interest for specific client interests.
- Negotiating rates with suppliers including hotels, coaches, restaurants, guides and entertainment venues
- Building close working relationships with travel trade clients and suppliers.
- All Operating aspects of the tour from logistics to final invoicing.
- Addressing and resolving any issues that may arise during the operating and travel process.
- Site inspections and attending Workshops, Trade Shows and Exhibitions to represent the Company and going on FAM trips both within the UK and rest of Europe, as and when offered and when relevant.
- Handling the company emergency phone intermittently. This is allocated on a rota basis and you will receive payment of £1,000 per annum for a full rota (or pro-rata).
Skills Required:
- Minimum 6 months experience in a broadly similar group-related role.
- Passion for travel and tourism
- Team player
- Ability to use initiative and to work creatively & independently
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise, and meet deadlines
- Being pro-active in sourcing alternative solutions
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- A European language preferred, but not essential
The Package:
- Salary up to £34,000 per annum based on experience and languages
- Luncheon vouchers to the value of £250 per year after 6 months
- Up to £1,000 per annum for handling the company's emergency phone (on a rota basis), after 6 months
- Annual discretionary bonuses for the whole team, based on the performance of the company. In recent years this has ranged from £500 to £6,000 per person/annum
- FAM trips to various UK/European destinations
- Full training will be provided
- 3 days in the office (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), 2 days (Tuesday and Friday) "Work from Home" for everyone.
