Do you have experience working within a Tech Support role within the Travel Industry? Are you a specialist in everything GDS? We have the opportunity for you!
We are working with an established Travel Management company who are looking for a GDS Support Specialist to join them in their Central London office, or fully remote from home.
The successful applicant will be required to provide GDS Support to agents and internal departments that require assistance in resolving issues that could affect multiple points of the support structure.
The Specialist will be responsible for all GDS requests and ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner and escalated when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Agent GDS Questions (Formats, workflow, processes)
- Manning of the GDS Help desk (service desk)
- Agent & Agency Implementations / onboardings
- Fully proficient with Galileo, Navitas and Sabre
- Set up of Sabre Web on Ipads etc etc,
- Set up of Client Base
- Creation of Company profiles
- Integration with Concur / Embark and /or any other OBT
- Script writing for Galileo
- GDS Software installation & support
- TripCase agent & client support/corporate client setups
- Hotel Rate Code Updates
- Agent processing questions and concerns
- Integration with GDSx
- Understanding of Fare retailer
- Integration with back-office systems such as Dolphin and Agresso
- Understanding of Atriis and Traveltek and Room Service
- Evaluate and escalate issues for training opportunities.
- Collaborate with training team, Operations Supervisors and Managers to highlight reoccurring issues, errors, and gaps in GDS skills.
- Evaluate and escalate issues to other IT and Operational teams as necessary.
- Continuously review and enhance communication procedures and channels to ensure proper delivery of relevant information to agents and support teams.
Requirements:
- 3 -5 years' experience on Galileo and Sabre GDS system (any other GDS systems are a plus)
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of the travel industry
- Demonstrates a positive & "just own it" attitude that leads to creative problem solving and solutions.
- Flexible work hours
- Ability to move projects and communicate accordingly
The Package:
- Salary - £38,000
- Office based (Central London) or fully homebased
- Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days plus 8 public holidays
