Do you have previous experience working within an Inbound Tour Operator?

We are working with an independent, family-owned inbound tour operator who are looking for a fit Reservations Executive to join their expanding team.

The role:

  • Confirm and enter wholesale bookings into Tour Plan reservation system.
  • Provide day to day point of contact for our clients for both hotel and service reservations.
  • Prepare Ad Hoc quotations for clients within company guidelines /sales initiatives & implement routine follow up.
  • Negotiating our special contract rates/allocation & dealing with any cancellations and amendments.
  • Ensuring timely answers to client queries / enquiries / complaints to ensure company procedures are followed.
  • Manage & maintain information accurately within client data files.
  • Demonstrate flexibility & undertake reasonable tasks requested by the company.
  • Liaising with availability desk as and when required.
  • Price queries and assisting accounts department in pursuit of late payments.

The Person:

  • English advanced spoken & written.
  • Excellent Italian or Spanish (preferably mother tongue)
  • Basic understanding of some London hotels.
  • Understanding tour operator contract rates and allocation concept preferable.
  • Should ideally have experience in travel reservations (either for a hotel group, tour operator, travel agent).
  • Previous experience of making reservations for hotels, Theatre tickets and airport transfers is also preferable.
  • Other European languages desirable although not a pre-requisite.
  • Must be Computer literate Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Tourplan & Trip Creator a bonus.
  • Good telephone manner / Customer liaison skills.
  • Self-motivated, dedicated with ability to communicate across departments in order to satisfy client needs.

The Package:

  • Salary - £23,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)
  • Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6pm
  • Every third Sunday and Saturday for roughly 2 hours each day via remote connection. This time is then given back in lieu the following week, meaning you are granted a half day paid leave for the following week.
  • Emergency phone rota in place depending on requirements.
  • Possibility to WFH on certain days of the week once probation successfully completed.
