Are you in experience in Event and Conference Production? Are you experienced and confident in Content Writing? WE HAVE THE ROLE FOR YOU!!!

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Event Manager to join one of the UK's largest travel brands. You will be involved in all aspects of event management, including conference and seminar production, speaker management, budgeting, venue booking and supplier management.

You will produce and deliver a range of events, including at least one large event per annum.

Duties:

Content Production:

  • For new events, carry out market research on a topic, write a commercially viable programme, produce marketing copy, source and secure senior industry speakers and partners
  • Develop and refresh existing events to ensure they are up-to-date and commercially viable
  • Liaise internally with other company departments to agree content and key messages, lead content calls with key speakers and panellists
  • Conduct telephone-based research and organise and attend meetings with senior travel industry figures
  • Identify new topics, formats and commercial opportunities for the travel industry.

Event management:

  • Source venues and online platforms and liaise to ensure correct set up at venues/portals on the day of events
  • Send speaker and delegate confirmation emails
  • Arrange event materials (digital and physical)
  • Welcome delegates, speakers and sponsors at events and ensure smooth event delivery.

Pre and post-event administration

  • Post-event de-brief
  • Negotiate and agree speaker fees and expenses, process event invoices, book travel
  • Budget reporting and management
  • Update CRM with event leads, speakers, event information.

Operations and budget management

  • Overseeing aspects of venue management, including building venue partnerships and ensuring sound venue negotiation and the securing of competitive cross event rates
  • Ensuring all delegate materials are professionally delivered, in conjunction with the marketing team
  • Assist Head of Events and Accounts team with budget management and cost reconciliation.

Project management

  • Brief sales, marketing and sponsorship teams and liaise closely to ensure financial targets are met
  • For larger events, produce timeline and plan.

Experience / Skills required:

  • At least 2 years experience in conference production including content development
  • Experience in event operations or delivery. Experience of live event management preferred.
  • Experience and confident in content writing / copywriting
  • Good educational qualifications e.g. university degree or equivalent
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of events, travel and associations.
  • Great communications skills and confident manner - able to communicate with senior figures in the travel industry at meeting, on phone and in writing
  • Excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritise, juggle projects and meet deadlines

The Package:

  • A salary of £31,000 - £37,000 (dependant on experience)
  • Hybrid working (2 days in the London office / 2 from home)
  • 25 days' annual holiday entitlement (28 days after 3 years' and 30 days after 5 years' service)
