Leading Newcastle-upon-Tyne based Specialist Tour Operator is expanding and seeking an experienced Business Travel Manager to be hands on and lead a small team who facilitate the corporate travel for sporting events. This is varied, challenging and rewarding opportunity. Salary is negotiable (up to £40k DOE), and comes with the opportunity to develop a long and successful career in corporate travel management within the Sports Tours Industry!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Manage a small team of 3 Business Travel Consultants

- Motivating your team ensuring excellent customer service and achievement of KPIs

- Be hands on, able to book travel, using GDS

- Book a mix of return, open jaw, RTW and multi-sector itineraries

- Dealing with a wide variety of world-wide airfares

- Be the key contact for clients, resolving and customer service issues

- Working primarily Monday-Friday, 9-5, but with flexibility

- This is an office based role

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The suitable candidate will have a strong background in the corporate travel industry with excellent GDS knowledge, ideally Galileo. You will be an experienced travel manager and have proven management skills.

THE PACKAGE:

Salary is competitive, in the region of £30k -£40k pa dependent on experience. This is an exciting time to join as recruitment is due to expanding into new market so a career prospects are great!
