Do you have experience working in the Leisure or Business Travel Industry? Do you have experience working on a GDS System?
We are assisting an Independent Corporate / Leisure Travel company who are looking for a Corporate Travel Consultant to join their team.
Key Tasks:
* Provision of high quality Account Management services to designated corporate clients
* Provision of expert advice to clients in all aspects of business or leisure trave
* Administration of the full cycle of all travel bookings for designated and ad hoc corporate clients
* Book and facilitate all aspects of the client's travel, such as transfers, car hire, etc. in line with agreed itinerary and client requirements;
* Up-sell softly added value items, such as airport transfers, VIP airport services, extra nights' accommodation, car hire, and insurance;
* Issuing, re-issuing and performing re-calculations of international and domestic airfares in relation to designated corporate client bookings
* Assisting with and co-ordinating ancillary client requests as required
* Responsible for negotiating fares with airlines on a regular scheduled basis as
designated by the Operations Manager
* Ensure prompt pro-active communication with client at all stages of the project
* Maintain flexible availability to ensure effective communication with the client and suppliers to ensure successful fulfilment of the client brief.
* Work with Sales and Marketing to promote corporate travel services
* Pro-actively seek and maintain market and travel industry knowledge to a high and comprehensive level.
* Proactively seek and maintain knowledge regarding products available;
* Ensuring CRM is kept up to date
* Ensure that invoices are raised in a timely manner using the Dolphin software
System
* Undertake regular training to ensure comprehensive knowledge of Amadeus and other appropriate software
Knowledge and skills required:
* Previous experience of working in the corporate or leisure travel industry
* Good IT skills with the ability to quickly learn new software
* Knowledge of specialised travel related IT systems e.g. Amadeus (preferred)
* Experience of using CRM systems
* First class customer service skills
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Product knowledge
* Ownership and responsibility
* Confidentiality
* Ability to successfully manage a high-volume workload in a professional and calm manner
* Excellent organisation skills; able to work to tight and demanding timescales resolve problems and manage conflicting priorities
* Good commercial negotiating skills and understanding of rates and mark up
* Excellent team working skills
* The post holder will be expected to undertake a variety of duties and the above is intended to indicate the range rather than set limits. To maintain the efficient running of the business, it is important that all staff are prepared to take on additional/relinquish existing duties as necessary.
Package & Hours work:
A competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 will be offered to the right candidate (depending on experience)
0930-1730 with some out of hours working, including on call work as required - this will include travel; attending events and trade shows etc. as required.
