Are you an experienced Business Development Manager in the travel sector looking for a new challenge? My client is a leading specialist tour operator based near Nottingham who is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to work supporting the business to grow by identifying new product, audience and territory opportunities. This exciting role with hybrid working, great hours and a very competitive salary, within an excellent company is not one to be missed!
The Job:
Identify opportunities and create actionable plans to improve the 'customer share of wallet' by increasing the range of trips booked.
Prioritise these opportunities by developing a 'mini business case' for approval.
Develop scalable plans and oversee their delivery to agreed targets once prioritisation agreed.
Opportunities could include Geography reset and growth, British International Schools development and stronger commercial arrangements with Multi Academy Trusts.
In co-ordination with the Sales team and Commercial Manager, identify ways to support the relevant teams to improve school's recovery and retention.
Provide commercial support for other business cases as required.
Other key projects as required by the business.
Report appropriately on agreed KPIs.
Experience Required:
Experience of working in a commercial, sales or business development role in the travel sector for a minimum of 7 years.
Must be commercially 'savvy' and have the ability to identify growth opportunities via a good understanding of market and audience dynamics.
Must be an effective communicator and have strong inter-personal skills.
Must be able to effectively engage people and be a good team player.
Demonstrate a 'can do' attitude, effectively prioritise tasks, be resilient and handle pressure calmly and objectively.
Be a good problem solver and be able to find creative solutions when required.
Salary and Benefits:
A fantastic Basic Salary of £38,000.00 - £42,000.00 dependent on experience plus monthly and annual bonus, great working hours of Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm with Flexible hours. Hybrid working. 25 days holiday, rising to 30 with service.
