An exciting new opportunity has become available for a dynamic Branch Manager to lead and oversee a Travel Agency based in the heart of Essex. As a Travel Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent customer service, driving sales growth, and fostering a positive work environment. Your strong leadership skills and industry knowledge will be crucial in maintaining and expanding our client base and ensuring the branch's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to a small team of travel consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Motivate and inspire the team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, increase revenue, and expand the customer base.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for business development and implement effective sales strategies accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure operational support and efficiencies.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring smooth workflow, adherence to policies and procedures, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess branch performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate action plans.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including budgets, sales reports, and expense tracking, to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Foster a customer-centric culture within the branch, emphasizing exceptional service delivery and building long-lasting customer relationships.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly, ensuring effective resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, destinations, and travel products to provide expert advice and personalised travel recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
About you:
- Proven experience in the travel industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
- Excellent sales and business development abilities, with a demonstrated history of achieving targets.
- In-depth knowledge of travel industry trends, products, and destinations.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in using travel agency software (Tarsc is preferable), booking systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
