Seeking an experienced Aviation Manager from a Tour Op background with strong Amadeus skills for a successful, luxury Tour Op in SW London
The company has established a reputation for delivering absolute excellence in everything they do. The Aviation Manager will have a part to play to ensure that relationships they have with airline partners; and the commercial advantages they are able to gain from their relationships is maximised to its full potential. The purpose of this role is to manage all the day to day tasks on Aviation matters
THE ROLE
*Overseeing the airline ticketing functions and aviation processes complying with airlines rules & regulations and deadlines. Filing airfares etc
*Having regular and meaningful meetings and on-going relationships with key airline partners and ensuring a constant stream of information is relayed to the Commercial teams to ensure a joined up approach.
*Working closely with the ticketer and the Head of Commercial / Head of Sales & Operations to make certain they have seamless inter-departmental procedures in place to ensure compliance with each airlines fare rules, ticketing deadlines and terms & conditions.
*To ensure that all BSP reconciliation is up to date along with refunds & ADM / ACM queries.
*To take direction from the Product Managers and Head of Commercial to ensure that tactical deals are negotiated in a timely and effective manner to coincide with promotions
*To ensure that the Reservations team is 100% supported with Amadeus queries and flight problems and tricks.
*To proactively approach airlines with initiatives and ideas that will further improve Caribtours trading position and sales
*To provide meaningful stats to the management team to ensure that we are all fully briefed at all times of our performance with partner airlines.
*To assist with Tickets in the Operations team as and when required.
*To provide training within the ticketing department as and when required
*On a rota basis with the management team, be the 'Manager on duty' outside of office hours on allocated weeks
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
*Work in a similar Tour Operator management role with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
*Airline ticketing, regulations & fare filing.
*Amadeus Essential
*Attention to detail and the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
*Word & Excel proficient
