A new exciting opportunity for an Air Coordinator to join a Luxury Travel Company in London
The Job:
*Accurate pricing for air, hotel and transfer items & charge additional fees when required
*Maintain airline contract fares and rules to ensure best air schedules and fares are utilized
*Confirm and issue airline tickets according to airline and cruise line policies and procedures and deliver correct copies to documentation for distribution to the guests
*Each flight booking is checked for APIS (Advance Passenger Information) especially to / from the US and Emirates flights.
*Courteously communicate with external customers to advise of applicable air itinerary changes resulting from an airline initiated flight change.
*Completing emails
*Provide courteous, profession & prompt response to e-mail and phone requests for pre- and post-cruise information from internal and external customers
*Monitor daily Air & Hotel reports (New/Cancel/Change Reports) to identify new and/or changes to bookings and take appropriate action in all systems
Skills Required:
*Minimum one (1) year experience with a GDS, preferably Amadeus
*Minimum one (1) year experience in domestic and international airline booking/ticketing
*Working knowledge of a GDS, preferably Amadeus, is required
*Working knowledge of Word, Excel,
*Work well with others. Work well independently. Highly motivated to achieve set goals. Well organized. Detail oriented.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to tactfully deal with difficult travel agents and guests over the phone and in writing.
*Highly knowledgeable of world geography.
*Must possess a courteous, positive, team-player attitude.
