Adventure Operations Specialist required for this Glasgow based specialist Tour Operator - but working remotely from home. So essentially you can be based anywhere in the UK! There ethos is to connect people and make a positive impact on the planet through adventure travel. Starting salary £20k pa (increases to £22k pa after 6 months) and Mon-Fri office hours, and fantastic benefits too!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The operations team is a customer focused, passionate, organised, resilient, fun loving and persuasive group with a hands-on attitude who make things happen together. Internally the operations team works closely with the sales, product and customer service teams. Key external relationships include: suppliers, customers, travel agents and trade partners.
- Making accommodation, luggage and transport reservations, amendments and cancellations to tight timeline and margin targets.
- Communicating with sales and customers to understand customer requirements.
- Finding solutions and suitable alternative for bookings where original requests may not be possible.
- Resolving on trip issues effectively with minimum disruption to the customer
- Reacting quickly and finding solutions and to situations relating to operation such as accommodation closures, disruptions to travel schedules etc.
- Sourcing, negotiating and onboarding new services and suppliers.
- Building great relationships and negotiating with existing suppliers to ensure we are the partner of choice.
- Loading and updating service information and rates.
- Working with product, sales and relevant departments to maximise margins
- Working with our sales team to ensure that your customer's trip is arranged to perfectly meet their needs.
- Supporting your customers with on trip questions, amendments and issues.
- Building relationships with our customers that ensure they return again and again.
- Ensuring that every detail of your customer's trip is perfectly organised and documented, including the administrative tasks this involves.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

THE PACKAGE:
Starting salary is £20k pa which increases to £22k pa after probation. The role is fully remote and Mon-Fri office hours.
