Are you an Account Manager looking for a new and exciting challenge?

My client a specialist tour operator is looking for an Account Manager to arrange educational, special interest and
performance tours for groups throughout Europe, they are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual with a lot of common sense and great attention to detail to join its team.Based full time in the office in Surrey, the role is that of an account handler, and involves working with a handful of the companies largest clients, arranging all aspects of
long and complex tours, such as planning the itinerary, preparing quotations and liaising with the clients and suppliers. The role will suit candidates who have related experience, enjoy solving problems, have incredible attention to detail and can apply initiative to their work. We are a small team so everyone plays a part and the desire to speak up, get involved and contribute is essential.

Duties:

  • Account handling/quoting
  • To design itineraries tailor-made for clients' requirements.
  • To prepare quotations.
  • To source relevant product and review suppliers.
  • To understand the needs of the clients and the market in which the company is operating.
  • To develop product knowledge by participating in relevant familiarisation trips and undertaking independent visits as necessary.
  • To assist with developing itineraries, and producing "sample" itineraries that can be used as a basis for new quotations.
  • To increase knowledge of European products.
  • To set up and maintain a new supplier databaTse containing key information on visits and booking details (no database experience necessary for this)
  • Education to A-level/degree level

Experience Required:

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent financial/spreadsheet experience
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, email etc)
  • Some relevant experience (not necessarily directly the same, but with transferable skills)
  • Quick learner
  • Professional demeanor
  • Common sense and ability to work independently
  • Proven experience of good time management skills and ability to work on lots of different projects at the same time
  • Additional (if possible, but not essential): A second European language (eg French, German, Spanish or Italian)


Salary - £28k - 30k based on experience
