Are you a highly motivated and experienced Travel Consultant? Do you know Ireland (and more broadly, the UK) like the back of your hand? If so, this could be your dream role! I am recruiting for a new Travel Consultant (Ireland Specialist) role with a forward-thinking and progressive Travel Company based in central Edinburgh. My client is looking for somebody who is Travel Sales orientated and motivated, with a strong knowledge of Ireland as a destination, and plenty of experience selling it.

JOB DESCRIPTION
You will need to have excellent geographical and product knowledge of Ireland and the UK as well as extensive experience in tailor-making travel itineraries to perfectly match customer needs. You will be dealing with mid to high end accounts and travellers who are seeking unique, luxurious, and bespoke travel experiences on both an individual and group basis. Your day to day will consist of generating quotes, bookings tours and ancillaries, forming and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers alike, so being able to work effectively both individually and as a team player in a growing and exciting environment is a must.

DUTIES
* Provide an exciting range of tailored mid to high end programs for clients travelling both independently and as part of group
* Undertaking client requests and converting bookings according to the response times set in an efficient and customer focused manner
* Establish lasting relationships with new clients and suppliers
* Strengthen and maintain relationships with existing clients and suppliers
* Delivering the highest level of customer service at all times
* Booking all elements of travel - from flights, to hotels, transfers, and other service reservations, all whilst working to develop strong supplier relationships
* Quoting a wide range of bespoke holiday options, tailor-made to suit the needs of each and every customer
* Converting quotes into confirmed bookings and working to exceed sales targets
* Keeping your product and brand knowledge up to date, whilst having in-depth knowledge of all the company's destinations (with a particular focus on Ireland)
* Committed to providing high-quality and personalised services

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
* Experience in a similar role is essential
* In depth knowledge of Ireland (and the UK) as a tourism product and destination
* Excellent customer care and communication skills
* Great team player with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail
* Willingness to travel - mainly within Ireland and the UK, but also the opportunity to travel to overseas locations

THE PACKAGE
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a generous base salary ranging between £24,000 and £28,000 (DOE), in addition to generous incentives and some truly incredible company benefits. Working hours are sociable office hours from Monday to Friday, between 9.00 and 5.00 pm (and early finishes on Thursdays and Fridays!).
