Our client is a successful and luxury travel company based in South West London and they are seeking a Trade Sales Executive to join their friendly team.
Purpose of the Role:
The Trade Sales Executive is responsible for delivering a number of important organisational and analytical functions within the Trade Sales Department, including the generation of sales reports, organising events and educationals, brochure management, coordinating travel agent training, joint marketing and targeted sales activity.
This individual will work closely with Trade Sales team to ensure that all trade sales activity undertaken by the company is carried out with the aim of increasing profitable sales and brand awareness.
The Job:
*Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly and annual agent sales reports and provide analysis of results. Utilise results analysis to identify trends and targets for future sales growth.
*Monitor agency sales performance and provide regular feedback to the Trade Sales Manager and Head of Trade Sales.
*Send and receive all commercial agreements and keep records of all commission levels and credit status.
*Arrange and coordinate all travel agents events within budget in partnership with the Head of Trade Sales. This includes venue booking, invitation management and support at the event.
*Provide support and assistance to the Trade sales manager and two Agency sales representatives who are out on the road
*Contact targeted agent partners during key campaigns to boost effectiveness and encourage agency participation for incentives/offers
*Attend selected holiday shows, client evenings and training events where you will on occasion be required to present to groups on up to 45 people
*Identify new agent leads and follow up by arranging appointments with these travel agencies for the Trade sales team
*Send regular special offers to key Travel agent partners.
*Provide support for agents own holidays and trips.
*Maintain and update Agents Database
*Act as first point of contact for all agent requests. This includes requests for promotional material, brochures and marketing support
*Liaise with BP Travel Marketing for bulk agent deliveries
*Keep a stock take of all brochures at BP to ensure an ample supply.
*Co-ordinate all Travel agent incentives
*Assist in selling trade marketing and event opportunities outlined in the marketing plan
*Organise and schedule in webinar training with key hotel partners to our agent database or closed agent groups
Experience/Skills Required:
*Strong Caribbean, Mexico, Indian Ocean and Arabia knowledge
*Strong understanding of Tour Operating and /or Retail Travel Agents
*Strong analytical and organisational skills
*Articulate and must be able to work under their own initiative plus manage and prioritise their workload
*A strong communicator who is comfortable speaking to Hoteliers, Marketing companies and Travel agent owners and employees alike
*To keep abreast of industry and product developments in particular for the Caribbean, Indian Ocean & Middle East
*Word

*Microsoft Outlook
*Familiar with Social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter
*Must be willing to work some evenings.
Preferable Experience:
*Established Travel Agent contacts would be beneficial
*Business development knowledge preferable but not essential
*A clean driving license preferable but not essential
The Package:
My client is offering a competitive salary package from £25,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience.
