Leading provider of travel technology services to the leisure travel and business travel industry is seeking a Support Co-ordinator to join their established team. Do you work in a Business Travel/Leisure Travel environment, love the industry but looking for a new challenge? Do you have proven experience of working in a technical support role - preferably with a web system, using a GDS system? Then this could be the perfect role for you! Fantastic salary package available for the successful candidate.
Job Description:
*Troubleshoot and support incoming issues with our products, keeping the number of incoming issues as low as possible.
*Provide telephone and email support to our in-house developed Corporate booking tool, SABS Corporate.
*Eliciting relevant information from the customer to be able to solve or reproduce the customer problem.
*Troubleshoot and fix problems, and logging 'repeating' issues with development.
*Raise development logs for issues confirmed as bugs, detailing steps to recreate the problem
*Give timely responses to customer queries and manage logs that have been passed to other teams.
*Regularly testing and replicating bugs and looking for ways to reduce log intake.
*Working with third party suppliers to solve customer issues that may lie in between systems.
Experience Required:
*Proven experience working in a technical support role, preferably with a web system
*Exposure to Windows and Windows based desktop applications
*Experience with different web browsers
*Experience with SQL
*Exposure to Linux beneficial
*Knowledge of the Travel Industry would be desirable, in particular Corporate Travel industry
*Experience with a GDS system (e.g. Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus) a large advantage
Key Skills/Attributes:
*Must be self-starting, self-driven and tenacious
*Be excellent at communicating ideas at different levels
*Show good pride in their work, and have an incredible attention to detail
*A quick learner, looking to continually improve themselves, with an open minded and creative approach to solving problems
*A keen problem-solver - Looking for the most effective route through issues
*Accurate at making estimations for project timescales, meeting deadlines and preparing for meetings
*Flexible - May have to delve into other parts of the system or the business to troubleshoot issues
*Organised - Able to create and follow plans and timescales
The Package:
Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience, working office hours, Mon-Fri, Discretionary performance based bonus bi-annually. Excellent working environment and great career progression.
