We are working with a well-known Tour Operator (based just south of the river) who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product / Operations Executive to join their Revenue Management & Product Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising opportunities for all products. This includes contributing both operationally and commercially, through scheduling, distribution and effective use of inventory and revenue opportunities. In this role you will grow to be an expert in product knowledge of our businesses whilst building good working relationships with our reservation centres, sales and operations offices.
The job:
- Set up, develop and ensure integrity of product operating schedules.
- Ensure accuracy of content on in-house product systems, this to include Management of schedule files, Itineraries and seasonal collateral and core product details.
- Follow up/coordination of passengers affected by cancelled trips/disruptions and support train/cruise operational incidents and assist with rebooking opportunities.
- Liaison with operations staff to facilitate their preparation of trips and to act as a supportive link between sales and operations offices
- VIP report, ensuring GM's, Management team are advised in advance of regular guests, executive management travel and PR related events.
- Assist in testing and further development of the Product Management System, web management and distribution systems.
- Act as a central go-to representative for assigned products in relation to commercial queries and product advice.
- Setup, develop and maintain supplier businesses in product management systems (PMS), web systems (CMS) and Central Reservation System (CRS) including input of product detail, selling inventories and departure schedules.
- Ensure inventory levels are managed effectively, daily monitoring of availability and sales pace to ensure best commercial use of space with appropriate consideration to marketing and planning objectives.
- Ensure efficiencies in day-to-day space co-ordination.
- Ensure potential group and charter opportunities are managed effectively to optimise inventory efficiency/revenue.
- Assemble and distribute product updates across Product Management System (PMS), Internet and Intranet.
- Conduct presentations and training sessions as required to ensure understanding of product and procedures across all departments.
- Prepare and communicate weekly availability updates internally as necessary and close out list to the travel trade.
Job requirements:
- 2 - 4 years relevant experience within a similar role.
- Proven experience of dealing with all aspects of travel/hospitality operations & coordination in a customer related business.
- Relevant management or field/industry related diploma or degree.
- Experience in revenue management and inventory control.
- Knowledge of the reservations/booking process and all associated technology.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work flexible working hours and support products outside of normal working hours when required
The package:
- Salary, £35,000 - £37,500
- Hybrid working system- three days in the office and two days working from home
