Business Travel Manager now required. This leading global Travel Management company has offices throughout the UK and Worldwide and are now seeking an experienced Business Travel Manager to join their highly successful organisation. The Job:

The successful Business Travel Manager will be responsible for managing a team of professional business travel consultants, who are working in a busy high spec, modern and friendly environment, managing a portfolio of Corporate Clients. The working environment is vibrant and you will have the opportunity to develop a rewarding long-term career with this organisation, which is widely considered to be the best within the business travel industry. The experienced manager must have a strong leadership background. It is vital that the successful candidate possess a proactive and can-do attitude, not afraid to get stuck in straight away and able to confidentially guide the team. This is a very challenging and high pressured yet rewarding role. The right person will be able to flourish and make it their own.

Duties Include:

*Achieving or exceeding all metrics and service level agreements
*Ensuring compliance to preferred partner programmes, maximising revenue by booking with these preferred suppliers.
*Daily line and performance management, motivation and development of the team
*Daily operational updates with peers escalating issues where appropriate
*Conduct regular reviews and annual appraisals for all team members, identifying and delivering any training requirements and performance improvement measures
*To coach and mentor team members in order to develop and improve performance
*Develop and manage the training plan for your team in conjunction with the Head of Group Travel and Head of Operations
*Conduct monthly probation review meetings in line with policy for all new starters
*To investigate escalated customer complaints or issues to satisfactory resolution
*To maintain strong inter-departmental relationships with all areas of the business, in particular finance and operations
*To manage the recruitment and selection process in conjunction with the Head of Group Travel

Experience Required:

*Previous people management experience essential.
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*Works well under pressure - calm and professional at all times
*Good knowledge of GDS, airfares, reissues, how to read PNR history,
*Confident, decisive, clear thinking, positive attitude

The Package:

This position is offering a competitive basic salary £35,000 - £38,000 DOE, and the opportunity to enhance your career with in this dynamic and forward-thinking corporate travel company.
