I am recruiting for a Global Compliance Officer to work for a forward thinking and massively growing tour operator who are based in the Swindon area, this is an integral role ensures the business is protected on a global scale by taking all practical steps available to mitigate risks and exposures allied to the interests, care and safety of all consumers that travel with IC for whom IC is ultimately responsible. The successful candidate can expect a higher than average salary in the region of £50000 - £60000 plus some excellent company benefits which include company bonus scheme, pension contribution, medical benefits and discounted rates on travel!
The role has the dual responsibility:
*Of assimilating and ensuring compliance with the entire regulatory framework that is relevant and applicable to IC's business practices and the conduct of its workforce
*Whilst applying pragmatism to enable continuity of business operations without disruption, not least of which is relevant to selling, marketing and delivery of its products and services.
THE JOB:
Supplier contracts:
*Oversight of all legally binding documentation whilst liaising with internal legal advisers;
oapply appropriate rigour, e.g. obligations are with the relevant IC legal entity and legal jurisdiction is with the UK
oensure that appropriate indemnity provision is in place allied to IC's financial risks and exposures with passengers
oensure that fiscal and financial implications (inclusive of accounting requirements) are coherently and comprehensively reflected
*Support commercial colleagues to negotiate and achieve appropriate commercial terms.

Media and Talent contract management - IC buys media across multiple platforms (TV, Press, SocMed etc) and engages directly with talent for incorporating events (e.g. one-off concerts) within its travel offering.
Oversight and/or direct management of all above stated activities is required of this role.
Premise contracts - provide oversight; relevant to all premise running implications; leases, services, light, heat and power etc.
Insurance - ensure cover is aligned which actual and next 12 months projected business requirements and corporate profile.
Travel Industry Bodies and Regulations - (ABTA, CAA, Package Travel Directive etc)
*Timely preparation and completion of annual returns
*Ensure consistent application of general rules for ABTA and ATOL. E.g. Stop overs for cruise lines rules and regulations
*[Ensure that all obligations required of membership are satisfied without fail]

GDPR - Ensure appropriate and adequate compliance of this regulation allied to; ongoing business practice and conduct of ICs' employees.
IC Board Documentation - Ensure that appropriate records are in place for all decisions, actions and activities whereby a formal meeting minute and/or resolution is required.
Corporate and Branded Statements inclusive of terms and conditions - ensure that all such statements are in line with relevant regulation not least of which applies to consumer rights and interests not least of which encompasses; ABTA, CAA, AFTA, ATAS, TAANZ.
Bank Mandates - Ensure that all information required by the bank is maintained relevant and up to date, not least of which is applicable to authorisers and signatories.
Litigation - Liaise with internal and external legal advisers to manage and resolve all disputes and claims

Company Secretariat stakeholder management - Ensure appropriate lines of communication are in place allied to this role's duties and responsibilities together with prompt timely alert of risks and issues.
Skills set required:

Essential
*Extensive experience and sound knowledge of relevant UK legislation and regulations; not least of which is applicable to:
_Contracts
_Commercial Practice and
_Insurance cover
*Strong, assertive and process driven individual which ensures the business maintains compliance with policies and procedures
*Ability to challenge peers and superiors in a constructive and professional manner
*Must have high attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
*Experience of working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
*Ability to work under pressure and deliver results
*Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
*Must be highly self-motivated
*Willing and able to travel globally
*Sound MS Office capability

*A recognised legal qualification
*Travel Industry experience
*As per first essential skill; extended to Australasia and EMEA

THE PACKAGE;
There is a very competitive basic salary on offer for this role which is in the region of £50000 - £60000 plus you will be entitled to the excellent company benefit scheme which includes company bonus, pension contribution, medical benefits and discounted rates on travel.
