Do you have Managerial experience within a Travel Sales team? Do you have good knowledge of USA, Caribbean, Mexico and Canada?
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join an established Tour Operator based in the South London area.
The Position:
This exciting position will involve overseeing the operation of the sales (reservations) team and being a contributor to the overall Customer business unit.
*You will monitor, improve and drive progress towards sales and reducing our operational processing time to increase our customer satisfaction levels and productivity within the Customer area.
*You will maintain staffing levels in the sales team on both a short- and long-term basis; to include input into recruitment, rota planning, management of and recording of absence and annual leave.
*You will also handle performance management of the team to include training, KPIs development and delivery, ad hoc reviews, as well as annual reviews.
*Customer Manager will be conducting regular meetings and monthly 121's and managing administration of team's existing bookings, issuing of documentation, booking accuracy to ensure monies can be collected and working with the After Care team to ensure that all bookings are fit for travel.
*You will complete all KPI and other reporting and provide this to the Head of Customer on a daily, weekly and monthly basis or as required.
*You will contribute towards the marketing of holidays and assist with distributing related collateral and helping with other aspects such as PR and promotional campaigns as required.
*You will make sure offers and discounts are used to best effect in order to maximise sales and understand the competitive market and keeping the Commercial team updated with market developments.
*You will troubleshoot any guest issues pre, during and post departure, including dealing with complaints in conjunction with the Customer Service Team.
*You will perform team training, mentoring performance management to maximise their potential and growth within the company.
*You will also manage the day to day relationship with some of our Key customers.
*Helping to drive awareness and create initiatives to increase engagement within those customer groups.
*Working alongside the Business Development Managers to help with those activities but also using the real time feedback that they provide to change our internal processes to meet the needs of our client group.
The Person:
*Candidates must have managerial experience, with a sales team
*Travel Industry experience
*GDS knowledge (desired)
*Good knowledge of USA, Caribbean, Mexico and Canada
Package:
This is an initial Maternity cover opportunity (1 year contract) paying a salary of £28,000 - £30,000.
Standard hours 09:00-17:30 Mon-Fri + emergency contact (via phone) Saturday
22 days leave per year (pro-rata'd due to mid-year start) + BH's
