The Association of ATOL Companies (AAC) is offering travel agents a discounted joining fee ahead of the introduction of the Flight Plus regulations.
AAC legal advisor Alan Bowen said the Association could assist agents who will need to apply for an ATOL for the first time to comply with the new regime.
"It is clear for travel agents who may have been dynamically packaging for years that the Flight Plus regime will require a major review of how they do business," said Bowen.
"Some may choose the route of buying all the components from a single AAC member and avoid the need to obtain an ATOL themselves but many may decide that the time is right to obtain their own ATOL for the first time".
The AAC is offering a discounted rate of £299 (normally £600) and waiving the usual £100 joining fee for applications made before April 30 when Flight Plus legislation kicks in.
"We recognise that the changes are not simple and our experience in advising ATOL holders is second to none," added Bowen. "If agents need a helping hand, then now is the time to ask for help and we will be happy to guide them through the maze."
