Ticketing Consultant required for a leading, Cambridgeshire based award-winning Travel Company. My client is looking for someone who ideally has experience of ticketing and experience of using a GDS system such as Galileo, Amadeus or Sabre however if you come from an admin background your application will be considered as attention to detail is key with this role and full training will be given. If you have experience within the ticketing department of a Tour Operator, using a GDS, this is an excellent opportunity to continue your career with a growing Travel Company, within their operations and ticketing team. Salary package is highly competitive, excellent basic salary!

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Assisting our Reservations Consultants with the systems we use on a daily basis
- Checking and production of all travel documentation (tickets, itineraries, hotel/transfer/excursion vouchers
- Dealing with queries and communicating effectively with the Reservations Consultants
- Obtaining rates and checking availability via the in-house booking system
- Pro-actively chasing information from contracts and preferred suppliers whilst building and maintaining effective relationships
- Understanding fare rules to allow the processing of voluntary changes to scheduled flights including IT, consolidated and published tickets
- Issuing, refund and exchange of flight tickets
- Managing involuntary flight schedule changes and then assisting our Reservations Consultants with amending or cancelling any affected ground components
- Providing quotes for amendments and cancellations to both in house package bookings and individually quoted ground components e.g. hotels, transfers and car hire etc and process accordingly

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
You will ideally have previous experience of working within the ticketing department of a travel company, including knowledge of airfares and GDS
Excellent attention to detail with a methodical mind set
Ideally have an understanding of how airline contracts work
Possess some knowledge of the travel industry
