Great opportunity has arisen to work for an internationally recognised Group Travel company in Edinburgh. Do you have experience of specialist group travel, FIT, conference or events? Looking for a new challenge? This could be the perfect role for you.

Job Description:

The main responsibility will be the booking and management of transport services in respect of all group bookings operated by the company. Primarily this will involve coaching services. This role will also include all operational tasks that support the Customer Care function within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

*Responsibility for the booking and management of all coach services for groups traveling to the UK. Key to this is to ensure that all group operations for the Company run smoothly, on a timely basis and to ensure that the Company's profit margin targets are achieved on each file.
*To undertake to be the first point of contact for all departments within Abbey for advice on day to day issues in relation to transport.
*To be the key contact for transport suppliers and to ensure valuable relationships are established and maintained with suppliers.
*Assist the Operations Manager with the contracting of new and existing suppliers where necessary.
*Providing Customer Care with all requested support.
*Assisting with the administration of all documents groups require prior to and during travel including creating the technical itineraries for the group, sending rooming lists to hotels and final documents prior to travel.
*To ensure company standards of customer care are met including monitoring customer feedback and ensuring any issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
*Supporting all members of the Operations team to ensure all services are booked to the clients' requirements including booking visitor attractions, meals, ferries and dealing with amendments to these bookings.
*Coaching and supervision of trainees and those on internships.
*Ensure that the Department's 24 hour emergency phone number is in operation at all times. This also includes sharing the roster duty with other Customer Care and Operations staff members.
*Working in conjunction with the Operations Manager providing operational support if required.
*Any other duties as assigned from time to time by the UK Operations Manager.

Experience Required:
*Fluency in English is an essential requirement (oral & written) and another language French, German or Italian or Spanish would be highly desirable.
*Good knowledge of the UK-wide tourism industry products essential
*Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
*Excellent customer care and communication skills
*Team player able to work in a busy environment

The Package:
There is a very competitive basic salary on offer here, with a benefits package in addition. This business are very proud of the strong reputation they hold so you will be part of their ongoing success. The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30, with some flexibility for helping with the emergency phone, attending any trade shows required and, indeed, any additional help on tours.
