We are seeking a Sales and Travel Consultant for a leading niche travel company, that provides bespoke travel for groups and individuals to major events. This is a travel sales role taking enquiries, quoting and booking on travel for UK and overseas events, for groups and individuals. Based from offices near Newcastle, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Travel Consultant, with GDS experience and a passion for travel, events and sport to work in an unique and exciting role.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Take enquiries from individuals and groups including sporting bodies and spectators
- Tailor make travel packages for UK and overseas sporting events using GDS Galileo
- Respond to customer enquiries via email, telephone and web chat
- Build and prepare quotes and travel itineraries, based on customer and event specific requirements
- Sell complex products and tour products
- Offer outstanding customer service, building a rapport with both customers & suppliers
- To represent the company at various events, familiarisation trips, travel trade functions etc
- Working Mon-Fri office hours 0900-1700, but with flexibility to work outside these hours when working to event deadlines

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
We are seeking an experienced Business Travel Consultant or Travel Consultant with GDS knowledge, who has a passion for sport/events and is keen to work in a busy and challenging, but exciting role.

THE PACKAGE:
Salary is in the region of £20k depending on experience plus other company benefits
