I am seeking a professional and experienced Specialist Product Manager who is an expert in The Polar Regions, my client is a niche tour operator who specialise in small group trips, tailor made safaris and specialist let tours, they really do deliver some of the most immersive experiences that available in these locations. As the Polar Region's Product Manager you will be responsible for determining, planning and monitoring the Company's Polar product. The Manager is assisted by a Product and Operations Coordinator and reports directly to the Head of Product. Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with Vessel Owners, Specialist Leaders and Guides this role plays a major part in shaping Company advancement in the Polar regions; responsible for ensuring this company stays at the forefront; constantly looking for new development opportunities. Most importantly I am looking for a professional and experienced Polar Product Manager with a great work ethic and a desire to break new ground.


THE ROLE:
Overseeing a range of projects, from adhoc exclusive vessel charters to annual Charter seasons across the Arctic and Antarctica.

Responsibilities will include:
*Management of Vessel Charters to the Arctic and Antarctica to include all contractual compliance, statutory submissions, contractual engagement of Specialist Leaders and Guides, logistics and operations
*Creation of Charter season and ad-hoc individual Charter budgets
*Monitoring of Financials: Actual v Budget Profit & Loss reporting
*Research and development of the Polar Product; collaborating with the Head of Product to define the Polar roadmap.
*Liaison with the Marketing function to determine outbound message; including web content, newsletters, itineraries (to include taking editorial role on documentation) and analyse campaign impact and client feedback
*Relationship management (Polar and Americas suppliers and partners)
*FAM trip training and post-trip reviews for Destination Specialists
*Internal Product Training


EXPERIENCE:
The role holder must be able to demonstrate the following experience and skills:

*2+ years working in Polar Product with strong leadership experience.
*You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, making decisions independently and/or with Senior Management input, you will enjoy daily challenges and thrive on the associated rewards.
*Advanced understanding of AECO, Sysselamannen (Arctic) and South Georgia government (Antarctica) regulations.
*Ability to work to deadlines; using own initiative to manage a heavy workload with at times conflicting priorities.
*Excellent communication skills; written and spoken English (additional languages is an advantage).
*You will be a highly organised and efficient individual; comfortable with multi-tasking and trouble-shooting.
*You need to be able to understand a situation, determine the way forward and take action; always ensuring all involved understand your direction and proposed benefit, you will be comfortable liaising across company departments and externally with suppliers and clients.
*Understand and commit to exceptional levels of Service.
*Excellent Microsoft Office and IT skills (excel, word and PowerPoint)

*A sense of fun!

THE PACAKAGE:
The successful candidate can expect a very competitive salary in the region of £30000.00 - £35000.00 plus you can expect some great company benefits and be part of the most amazing team!
