As a mid-level business analyst within the London-based business analysis team, you will be working to ensure the successful delivery of several new information technology solutions to the business.
The Job:
*Ensuring that the business requirements gathered are fully analysed, with full engagement and accountability from the business;
*Ensuring that business requirements are well developed and documented including functional, non-functional and reporting requirements; then shared, understood and agreed with the development team
*Documenting and mapping of 'As Is' and 'To Be' operational processes including interviewing SMEs and conducting workshops when required;
*Providing advice to the business on potential impacts and risks when new or amended requirements are proposed;
*Contributing to the business analysis team's KPI's and objectives;
*Maintaining a broad understanding of all company systems.
*Assist the senior BA in providing support to the project manager with information on the current travel management system functionality;
*Performing data analysis to understand potential issues with the system data;
*Performing problem analysis, including understanding the root causes of system problems;
*Working with the senior BA and development team leader to ensure that problems are properly solved and there is continuous improvement in the quality of deliverables;
*Providing any additional information required by the development team, and a willingness to go back to the business for clarification is valued
*Aiding the business to produce workarounds where system requirements cannot be fully met;
Skills required:
*Proven ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources;
*Proven ability to collaborate with project teams, including distributed teams, to understand recommendations, limitations and development options - within the business environment that you will be working;
*Ability to prepare documentation including; business cases, stakeholder maps, user journeys stories, business requirements documents etc;
*Excellent time management skills
*Experience working with Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence)
*Proven ability to effectively manage a varied and busy workload and to meet deadlines;
*Patient organised, and detail orientated;
*Excellent technical and personal skills;
*Proactive, flexible and confident to demonstrate initiative;
*BCS or IIBA Business Analyst certification
*3-5 years' experience as a business analyst preferably within the travel industry;
*Exposure to working within an Agile environment or understanding the principles of Agile software development;
*Experience working on multiple complex projects simultaneously
*Previous travel system (especially tour operating) experience would be advantageous for this role

*Starting salary of £35,000 - £45,000 plus company benefits
