My client is a massively growing Travel business who are looking for an inspirational and motivating Sales professional to join their global sales team across four continents delivering our processes, people and product. The Global Sales Director role is based in the Swindon area and will provide strategic input, project oversight, process improvement, and tactical execution of Sales and Concierge Operations. In all of the company's Product, Marketing, Concierge and Sales activities their main focus is on 'standing out from the crowd' and delivering innovation. I am looking for an individual who has the required passion, skill and experience. Equally we require an individual who can thrive and demonstrate leadership in a fast changing and entrepreneurial business. Travel industry experience would be beneficial but not essential. ** A passionate, confident, dynamic and effective communicator is essential **


The role:
*Understand the product, sales, and concierge customer journey working closely with the Product, Customer Service and Marketing teams.
*Actively identify the most effective, scalable opportunities to address issues and opportunities. Translate into actionable goals with supporting activities for each; implement dash-boards/reports/tracking.
*Develop processes, consistency and structure globally across the Sales function.
*Implement a resource and training plan to ensure targets can be met and staff are developed.
*Create, consult and implement a clear Sales and Concierge strategy to support the company's planned global growth over the next 3 years. This strategy must be aligned with the overall business strategy with a focus on increasing our P&L.
*Work with Finance, Marketing, Concierge and Sales leadership to develop top-down and bottom-up forecasting; build benchmarks, trending, and analysis. Build sales leadership teams accountable to forecasts and organisational processes
*Monitor and identify sales trends and develop solutions to ensure improvements in KPI and ROI.
*Working closely with the Customer Director and colleagues across Operations, Sales, Product and Service, this role will be responsible for the look and feel of all customer touch points within Sales and Concierge to ensure a consistency of brand and optimise the customer journey, and develop this as we continue to grow.
*Define business requirements for Sales technology; assist with design, implementation, and integration; continuous improvement of solutions over time
*Stay up to date on the latest trends, innovations, and technologies used to enable sales success
*Working with the strategic team, review strategies and make recommendations on how to influence and maximise return in investment
*Motivate a large sales team globally to ensure conversion, Sales P&L and retention KPI's are delivered.
*Manage a small team of General Manager's based in each country ensuring delivery of the country P&L


The candidate:
ESSENTIAL
*Extensive experience in Sales, owning and achieving budgets and understanding analytical data
*Experience in managing teams that are geographically dispersed.
*A team player with the ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities whilst remaining positive, flexible and open to feedback.
*Ability to travel regularly to our global offices to ensure the delivery of business requirements.
*A proven track record in inspirational and motivational people management
*Have a deep understanding of the importance of setting and measuring KPI's - both in terms of key sales and Sales metrics as well as individual performance
*Experience of people and team management - setting KPI's, conducting 1-2-1's etc.
*A keen understanding of Financial Metrics - including Budget Setting, Call Forecasting, Revenue and Cost Management and critical to this role - Sales Conversion and ROI
*Have the ability to think proactively, recommend change, improvement and demonstrate decisiveness
*Show tenacity in championing the needs of our customers and be confident in challenging the status quo
*Excellent written and verbal language skills.
*Able to travel on company business - with regular visits to our offices across the globe
*Able to work extended hours on occasions when required
*Experienced in working with Sales through numerous channels e.g. live chat, e-mail and telephone

*Previous exposure to a travel company
*Experience of working for a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial business
*Experience of working for a global business
