Flights and Ticketing Specialist
To actively support the group sales teams with queries and training requests on a daily basis alongside assisting with all aspects of ticketing including air issues and refunds, ticketing exchanges, ADM investigation and airline contract where necessary.
Job Description
*To actively provide support to our sales team on a daily basis
*Work alongside Sales Managers and Head of Sales Operations to ensure all sales teams receive regular feedback and training
*Accurate issuance of air tickets using the GDS
*To be fully conversant with all aspects of the GDS and keep up to date with IATA developments
*Fare calculation and re-issue air exchange tickets
*To be fully conversant with all ticketing duties including airline contracts, CAT35 fares and procedures
*Maximise revenue and margin opportunities by issuing the best possible option for our guests and recovering monies wherever possible e.g. tax refunds
*Assist with all aspects of allocation bookings when required
*Investigation of Agency Debit Memos
*Continually seek new ideas and suggestions to improving processes
*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well within a busy team
*Being on the emergency phone call rota and taking emergency calls out of hours as and when needed
Experience Required
*Ensure that all Travel Consultants are confident with the GDS and to assist with any queries from the sales team
*Provide training to the sales team as and when new procedures are introduced
*Ensure all ticket issuance and refunds are dealt with in a timely manner
*Assist with maintaining up-to-date versions of all contracts
*BSP - management of refunds, ADMs and general administration as required
*Attending in house training courses and if required meetings with various airlines to build mutually beneficial relationships
*Support the Flights and Ticketing Team with new booking flight costing checks and storing correct fares
*Highlighting of ticket deadlines and contract changes to the relevant teams
*Assist with keeping and updating reports on flight cost errors, ADMs and refunds
*Ensure that ticketing procedures are kept up-to date and that contract/airline anomalies related to ticketing and pricing are communicated to the relevant teams
*Providing out-of-hours ticketing support
*Organise staff and press flights
*Such other duties as management may reasonably require

*Competitive salary of £30k this will include working weekends and out of hours.
